The State Bar of California created the country’s first legal certification program which offers attorneys the opportunity to demonstrate high competence through evaluation by a panel of experts in 11 areas of law practice. One of these areas of law is Criminal Law. Passing the examination is the first step in the certification process. Mr. Feyzjou recently passed the examination. Mr. Feyzjou is currently in the process of completing the second part of the certification process, the application process.

However, to give some context, please note that as of June 2, 2012, there were approximately under four hundred State Bar Board Certified Criminal Law Attorneys out of hundreds of thousands of lawyers in California. Once achieved, this is a distinction shared by only a few attorneys.
