Violent Crimes

As with any other crime charged in California, violent crimes can have significant consequences if you do not properly defend these cases. Depending on whether the offender used a weapon, there can be significant penalty enhancements. In California, frequently committed violent crimes include armed robber, assault, batter, domestic violence, stalking, robber, hate crimes, terrorist threats, carjacking, sexual assault and other charges.

Violent crimes can have “strike” consequences. Clients must remember that it is the state’s burden to prove not only that a crime was committed beyond a reasonable doubt, but that each and every element of the charged complaint were committed beyond a reasonable doubt.
